Our mind is unknowingly overloaded with thoughts and the hush events encountered daily. Being free from thoughts is quite a challenging task, stress will always be the uninvited guest bringing along the other factors like anxiety, tension, and nervousness.

Stress and Anxiety are often misinterpreted as same, while both do not hold many similarities. The basic cause of stress is external pressures on us which we find difficult to cope with. When in stress, we usually are aware of the reason and the symptoms associated with stress vanishes after the situation sorts out! While anxiety isn’t always easy to figure out! It focuses on worries, inner fears and the events which could trouble in the future.

Understanding Anxiety

The feeling of anxiety can be troublesome as it lasts for longer if a person develops a tendency of the same. One may not even reach the roots and get to know what he is anxious about, complicating further people may also start feeling anxious about being anxious, sounds confusing? Think, how confusing it could be for a person going through it!

When not sorted over a period, anxiety can convert itself into Fear & Phobias. The sufferer can become phobic of events, activities or social situations rooted in terror causing the person suffering from the disorder to panic. People generally start avoiding the cause of their fear or anything associated with it limiting oneself from the external environment which can also lead to depression if not treated for a long time.

Understanding Stress

Stress is defined as “A state of psychological and physiological imbalance resulting from the disparity between situational demand and the individual’s ability and motivation to meet those needs.”

Stress is an inner feeling of pressures on the mind emerged through the routine dailies or some occasional situations which do not get sorted in the mind or leaves an impact on the mind. It can not always categorize in a negative sense, stress can be good when the situation offers an opportunity to a person to gain something. It acts as a motivator for boosting the performance and fetching better results. It becomes negative when a person faces social, physical, organizational and emotional problems.

Stress is the impact of an unfavorable situation and anxiety can be its reaction! In both the scenarios, it is always related to the inner feelings and the emotions which keep on bothering until the root becomes smooth.
