How do I get to the heycare app?
We can only be used via company accounts. Just ask your employer for an access code if you're already one of our partners. You can reach the app via app.heycare.com as well as in the App Store or Google Play Store.

Then we would be delighted if you spoke to your employer and let them know what we have to offer. As a rule, we talk to HR and HR departments.
How can I find and book a caregiver for children, seniors or pets?
Sign in to our app with just a few details. You can then view available supervisors in your area based on your location, requirements, and time of care you require. We are also available for needs-based direct placement, particularly in rural areas. Just send us your needs and we will find the right individual support for you.
Check out the profiles and choose together with your loved ones. You can chat directly via the caregiver's profile and also exchange telephone numbers for an initial telephone exchange. After that, you usually know even better whether the conditions, times and your gut feeling are right.
You then make an initial appointment via the app. You will receive confirmation within a very short time and can then sit back and relax. We will send your address to the caregiver and pay the heycare fee easily online.

Can I always book the same caregiver?
Absolutely. We believe that caring for children, seniors and pets is a matter of trust and, despite our various checks and evaluations from the caregiver, you must always build up a good feeling. We therefore recommend getting to know 1-3 supervisors for the first time - provided that you have no urgent need at the moment - so that you can decide in peace whether everything is right for you and the supervisors.
You can then access one of your trusted caregivers regularly and unscheduled, and thus build up an additional support system to reconcile your family and career.

How quickly can I book?
There are no limits set on our side, it's best to discuss this with your supervisor (s) directly. In the profile, you can see in advance whether the selected supervisor is available at short notice. We regard all bookings <12 hours as short-term bookings and take into account an express bonus of 5€/hour for your supervisor. Of course, we will show this to you directly and transparently in our app during the booking process. So that you always have the freedom to choose.
cancellations
Do you have to cancel your booked supervisor? This can happen, and the agreed appointment is then cancelled directly in the app. If the cancellation is made up to 24 hours before the booked appointment, we will refund you the full costs. The same applies if the supervisor does not show up for the booked appointment or cancels in advance.

We are available throughout Germany and Austria, even outside major cities in more rural regions.

How are supervisors tested?
We verify the identity of all caregivers with our certified partner for online security, the No. 1 on the market. To do this, the supervisor checks the authenticity of their documents using the Stripe ID Check process.
We also check all submitted documents, such as the extended certificate of good conduct, training and work records from educators and nurses, as well as the timeliness of the first aid course certificates for children and seniors.
Thanks to our close cooperation with the Hospitallers, we also offer supervisors the easy way to book these safety training courses directly via the heycare app.
In an extensive check by our customer support team, we also determine the motivation of our supervisors. Anyone who really enjoys working with people is also doing a great job.

Is the caregiver insured?
All our caregivers have liability insurance through us during the hours booked through our app. Full protection when you're on the go and at home.
Does the expensive vase break down by mistake or is there an accident at home or when you pick it up from daycare? Don't worry, we're here for you. We covered personal, property and financial losses with an insurance sum of up to €5 million.

What happens in case of damage?
Please report the damage directly to our Customer Happiness Team team@heycare.com. We will get in touch with our insurance partner Hiscox as soon as possible so that the issue is resolved immediately.

After completing your profile, we will, in the best case, accept you and activate it in our network. Now you can further customize your profile and update your calendar with your availabilities. And then you're ready to go... We wish you lots of great bookings and are happy to continue to be there for you. As a childcare worker, everyday assistant for seniors and/or pet caregivers (you can also be several), you always have a socially relevant job and do important work. We would like to thank you for that already!

Where can I apply for an extended certificate of good conduct?
During the registration process, we also ask for the extended police clearance certificate, which you can upload to your profile. It is now very easy to apply online via the Federal Central Register: Application for certificate of good conduct. If you already have an extended certificate of good conduct that is not older than 2 months, you are of course also welcome to upload it.
How does your profile check work?
After you have registered with us and completed your profile, a manual check is carried out on our site. Please understand that we have a fairly strict selection process in order to be able to offer families a good selection of qualified and suitable caregivers on our platform. So please don't be disappointed if we might not be able to activate your profile. The reasons for this could be that your profile picture does not meet our guidelines (e.g. because: too strong filters, no front view, blurred, poorly exposed, multiple people pictured, face not recognizable, no appropriate outfit or background), that you do not have enough experience in support, or that your profile text does not fit (e.g. because: too short, not understandable enough, worded too negatively, not authentic). But don't worry, we would always give you this feedback directly so that you know where you are right now and can maybe make improvements again. Do you have any questions about this? Why work at heycare?
We offer you a job with a lot of impact, free time management, your hourly wage of your choice and very simple, friendly communication via WhatsApp or push notifications and directly via our app. If you book <12 hours at very short notice, we will add 5€/hour to your regular hourly wage and reward your loyalty. Many well-rated bookings result in maximum visibility and many other great orders with us.
How quickly should I respond to booking inquiries?
As fast and reliable as you can. In compliance with data protection regulations and absolutely uncomplicated, you will receive all inquiries and bookings from the app in accordance with your settings via email, WhatsApp or push notification. You are always free to choose — do you want to accept the order or not. Please be sure to answer every request so that all users can prepare for their planning.
How am I insured?
You have commercial liability insurance through us during the hours booked via our app. Whatever goes wrong in your clients' household or on transport from kindergarten or school, sports club, doctor visit, etc. Don't worry! All major damages are covered by us, a deductible of €100 remains.
What types of employment are there? What do I have to do? Where do I state that?
In principle, you can work as a self-employed caregiver, with a business license or as a mini-jobber. You decide for yourself which form of work is best for you. We do not provide legal advice on this, but recommend The information provided by Minijob center and, of course, open communication with the users who book you.
How do I get my money?
You can get your hourly wage easily and reliably via our online payment provider Stripe. Similar to PayPal, this works completely digitally and without effort. You will receive the childcare fees 3 hours before your booked time. This gives you absolute safety and maximum comfort.
What do I do if I did not feel comfortable with an assignment or if something happened (accident/dispute, etc.)?
We hope that something like this doesn't happen for you. But should something happen that you don't expect and don't know how to deal with it — contact me directly team@heycare.com. We will try to find a good solution for you as quickly as possible and support you.
I am ill and am unable to carry out my assignment at short notice. What now?
That can happen from time to time and first and foremost we wish you a quick and good recovery. You should just be sure to cancel the planned appointment early. The earlier you can cancel the appointment, the easier it is to find a good replacement. We recommend that you not only cancel the appointment, but also send a personal message to the users. For quality reasons, we reserve the right to inquire within 24 hours in the event of an unfounded cancellation and, if necessary, to exclude you from the network.
How do I get the costs of the Johanniter first aid course reimbursed?
From the 5th booking that you have generated after the course, we will refund you the costs of the course. Simply send your payment receipt for the course and the receipts of the five completed bookings to team@heycare.com.
