Veggies or Fruits : Which Is A Healthier Choice?

Vegetables and fruits, in most cases, are considered equivalent in terms of nutrition and vitamins but, in terms of structure and taste there are differences between the both.

The basic difference between vegetables and fruits is the flavor! Fruits are naturally sweet, while veggies are savory in comparison. Though there can be some veggies with a sweet tint and some fruits with a savory flavor. Both the groups are high in fiber as well as vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and plant compounds. Being naturally low in sodium and fat both are a perfect pick for keeping the regular regime healthy!

Vegetables are Healthier!

In case of picking one, vegetables win the battle, the water content is highly variable, leafy vegetables may be composed of 84-95% water, while fruits contain slightly less, with between 61-89%. Vegetables are packed with a larger amount of health essential nutrients which makes them a better choice.

Another aspect is the sugar content, fruits are naturally sweet and thus are higher in sugar and calories, though they are nothing less in fiber and vitamins. Specific types of fruits and vegetables provide different nutrients.

Green veggies are high in nutrition value than any other fruit or even a vegetable.
