5 measures for greater ESG compatibility

Zwei Hände halten eine kleine Weltkugel als Symbol für Nachhaltigkeit und Verantwortung.

From 01.01.2024, small and medium-sized companies are now also required to disclose their efforts in environmental protection, in dealing with employees and in ethical corporate governance.

Although this can be a challenge for organizations, the new ESG obligation also opens up opportunities, particularly with regard to improved employee orientation and an increased reconciliation of work and family life.

In this context, we have put together five different measures to meet social obligations.

human resource management

In personnel management, particular emphasis is placed on involving people at different stages of life. It makes it clear that children and family planning are no obstacles to positions of responsibility. Support offers for employees in the area of childcare and everyday support for seniors are also presented.

Onboarding and offboarding

The onboarding process is improved by showing new colleagues ways to relieve the burden of care tasks right from the start. The transparency of the respectful onboarding process is emphasized in the ESG report, and insights into the corporate culture are provided. The offboarding process, including data on returnees, should also be visualized.

Social framework

Diverse and flexible working models are being established to give employees the opportunity to get involved in various areas of life without being overburdened. Cooperation with service providers and organizations to promote family-friendly measures is disclosed.

Learning and development

Targeted measures and data are published which show how employees with multiple responsibilities (work, childcare, care) in particular can promote their development, taking into account mental health and self-care.

Performance appraisal and compensation

Compensation is presented transparently according to goals and performance, regardless of gender, marital status or number of children. Employees are actively involved to share their personal success stories.

conclusion

Implementing these measures not only supports the social component of ESG regulations, but also creates a positive corporate culture that benefits both employees and the company itself.
